Aural Anagram 2.0

Aural Anagram was issued as a 20th anniversary 2 disc edition by Dirter in December 2023. It was released in an edition of 300 copies. This version is extensively expanded and remastered. Along with the original bonus disc it also features 6 extra tracks including remixes from Steven Severin and Steven Wilson’s Bass Communion project. The discs come in a mini LP sleeve which includes a biography of Hans Bellmer from distinguished writer Graham Duff.

This download edition of 'Aural Anagram' consists of the original CD (Aural Anagram), the limited edition CD (Anal Aura Gram, which was issued with the first 100 copies of the album) and two remixes by Steven Severin that were issued as a 7" with the Anal Aura Gram LP release.

'Aural Anagram' is a recording based around the art and ideas of the controversial surrealist artist Hans Bellmer (Born: Kattowitz, Germany 13th March 1902, Died: Paris, France 24th February 1975).

Bellmer is most renowned for his photographs of the doll, but it is his etchings and theories viewing the human body as an anagram which have most influenced this musical work.
